Don’t throw away your shot this summer to train with Desmond Nunn as he takes you through an intense 5-day session exploring jazz technique, musical theatre styles and of course Hamilton Choreography!
Desmond Nunn is originally from Alabama but currently residing in New York City. He attended The University of Alabama as a dance major under the artistic direction of Cornelius Carter. Having trained in many different styles of dance including ballet, jazz, modern and ballroom Desmond performed in the 1st annual Dizzy Feet Foundation Gala headed by Nigel Lythgoe, So You Think You Can Dance. After college he worked for the Huntsville Ballet Company as a principal dancer, and later on as the Ballet Master of the company. After his time with the ballet company Desmond moved to New York City. He then booked a role in The Wiz at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival as a member of the ensemble and the Scarecrow and Wiz understudy. Desmond is currently Dance Captain, ensemble swing and John Laurens/Philip Schuyler cover in The First National Tour of Hamilton: An American Musical.
This Musical Theatre Intensive is for intermediate to advanced dancers ages 14 and up. All classes put a large emphasis on technique, flexibility, style, choreography and strength in a positive and professional environment.
